Why should you work with me?

I worked for nearly five years at America’s second biggest bank. I was primarily a consumer and credit fraud investigator, which means I’m well-versed in almost all consumer banking products. I’m also extremely good at taking a giant pile of messy financial information and sorting it to see a clear big picture. I know a lot about financial scams – especially the ones set up to prey on people in money distress. And I have seen a lot of what happens when financial lives go wrong, so it’s going to be hard to scare me.

I’m also a trained Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach. Although I don’t agree with Dave Ramsey on everything politically and personally, his Financial Peace University and Total Money Makeover programs work. They got my husband and I to stop fighting about money, get out of debt, pay off our house in four years, and hit some other pretty major personal financial milestones. The Ramsey Baby Steps are a great starting point for financial freedom, and it’s the program that started me on my coaching journey.

I’m a veteran and military spouse who has moved around a lot. I’ve held a variety of jobs, from the military to the retail counter, from corporate America to a scrappy startup, and not working outside the home at all to being a working mom. I’ve crossed paths with a lot of people, and that has helped shape me into a deeply empathic person who is committed to inclusion and empowerment. I care especially about people who haven’t traditionally been well-served by the banking and personal finance industries – I can’t make up for history, but I can help you make changes.

Financial coaches individualize their approach based on the unique needs of each person served, with the goal of helping them make progress in the area of their financial life that they identify as most important.
